Bus Driver's unions from countries including France, Britain, Germany, Japan and the United States have called for the release of imprisoned Iranian bus drivers. The strike which began Christmas last saw the strikers and union leaders beaten and thrown in jail. The struggle of the Iranian workers has the potential of a gathering storm in the fight for social justice and democracy. American leaders of late have ponied up some geedas ($75 m) to help the Iranian people in their internal fight for democracy.
