In an article from the peopledaily Minister Sun Jiazheng believes that America and China "for the sake of the children of the world shoulder our responsibilities and hold our hands tighter for the interests of China, the United States and world peace." Sun goes on to say that America is a great and strong country but is a little fragile psychologically. He believes our trade balance should not be judged only by figures but by equilibrium. Americas export door to China is wide open and the market is huge but when China suggests exporting a few more "socks and shoes" the American market starts screaming.
