Hugo Chavez: Eddie Haskell or Lumpy Rutherford?

Hugo Chavez has declared he likes the American people. Actions speak louder than words. He has pledged over a half million bbls of gas to help relieve the effects of Katrina. After bashing the Bush Administration during a speech at the UN last week (resulting in thunderous applause from the audience), he spent time in Manhattan, speaking and visiting with those "folks." Apparently he was very well received. I guess we maybe really are two different Americas. We import a large percentage of our oil from Venezuela and what with Brazil and Argentina being PO'd about the possibility of a new US Military Base being set up in Paraguay, we may want to make nice with whoever will still be our friend; especially friends that will share their lunch with us. They're not that easy to come by these days...Chet buscador

PS. President Bush has a trip planned to Argentina in November to sell the Summit of Americas. With the latest polls showing 53% of Argentines not approving of the Bush Administration policies plus the uproar about the US Military possibly setting up house in Paraguay, I'm going out on the limb here and predicting Condie Rice will be eating Argentine beef in November and not the President.
